In June 2000, the former Mantova's organization and Umbria Olli S.p.A entered into a partnership, launching Compagnia Alimentare Italiana. the Mantova's organization has the honor and the commitment to continue one hundred years of tradition and holding an unparallel experience in the production of quality olive oils. Umbria Olii S.p.A (Spoleto) is among the strongest in the Mediterranean industrial olive oil market; it aims to support the Mantova's with industrial and financial resources. Together they form a complementary force, with common intents to develop Compagnia Alimentare Italiana by continuing building a successful "premium quality" leadership position in the international Italian food market. 

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Some say it's enough that it be bottled in Italy to be Italian, others say it's enough that the brand be Italian. First and foremost, we say it must be made with Italian olives, pressed and bottled in Italy to be Italian. But it would not be a "Real Italian" without the "Italian art of taste selection and blending". Adriano Mantova, with his over 25 years of in-family experience and tradition, personally tastes hundreds of samples, from all over Italy, in order to select the ones that will meet the specifications of every bottle of Mantova olive oil. At Compagnia Alimentare Italiana, as at very few others, taste still matters and is the "key" to quality standards. This is why, when buying a "Mantova" olive oil, you are also buying the "know-how in making Real Italian" fine tasting olive oil.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

In 1975 Enzo Mantova wanted to find a bottle that could express the idea of an Extra Virgin Olive oil, result of the blend of the very finest selected production of olive mills in Ciociaria. Borrowing a bottle shape, thus far used for the Maraschino liqueur, he accidentally invented the "symbol" of gourmet selection olive oils. A tall, thin, green bottle, with cork, pure ivory paper label, would soon become the most "copied" idea in packaging specialty olive oils. Soon after, the Mantova came up with more innovating ideas, like the "Novello Extra Virgin", the 375 ml clear marsca bottle, the long-neck alluminium capsule. But a special packaging does not make a "Gourmet Olive Oil" if taste is not as special and peculiar. Colle Monacesco, the "First Gourmet Extra Virgin" in a Marasca bottle. "Fior Fiore", the First Novello Extra Virgin "Antica Abbazia", the First Extra Virgin in a 375 ml bottle.
