Montalbano Agricola Alimentare Toscana S.p.A is one of the main leaders on today’s regional and national olive oil scene as part of the Oleificio Cooperativo Montalbano, a cooperative producing extra virgin olive oil in Vinci, the renowned birthplace of the genius Leonardo da Vinci. The medieval town of Vinci is situated in the fascinating area of the Montalbano hills - from which our company takes its name - a terroir always devoted to the art of olive growing. Our activity started more than 50 years ago and at present we are one of the leading producers and packers of Toscano IGP extra virgin olive oil at regional and national level, as well as packing other high quality extra virgin olive oils, which are thoroughly selected in the oil mills with which we collaborate in the Italian regions with the highest olive growing vocation, such as Puglia, Sicily and Calabria. We market our products through our own brands as well as through the exclusive private brands of our customers, who operate both in Italy and abroad (Europe, US and Japan). In fact, our company works with some of the most renowned operators in the retail sector, both national and international. We are equipped with new generation quality packaging lines in order to guarantee a high technological system control of the product. The company's expansion into numerous foreign markets has led it over time to acquire the most important certifications recognised worldwide, in order to guarantee the safety, relibility, traceability and excellent quality of our oils. Our certifications include both process certifications (ISO 9001:2000, BRC Certification, IFS Certification) and product certifications (Product treacebility (BVQI), Organic farming (CCPB), Kosher product).

This line is the result of our experience and professional expertise, which means a constant and careful commitment to selecting and promoting only the best extra virgin olive oils with superb organoleptic characteristics.
Each Terre Nostre extra virgin olive oil boasts an individual identity that brings back to its unique origin and territory. For years, we have been working with the best oil mills operating in the regions with the highest olive growing vocation: Tuscany, Puglia and Sicily, where each one of our olive growers sources the finest olives to produce superior quality extra virgin olive oils. These certified oil mills comply with health and hygiene regulations and excellent quality standards that exceed the specifications of the most demanding customers. But most of all, they guarantee the origin of the olives and a complete production chain traceability: in fact, the consumer can easily find out who grew the olives, the name of the oil mill and the packer of the bottle, all through the production lot number printed on the back label of our products.

IL GENIO
Il Genio Tuscan PGI extra virgin olive oil represents our flagship product and one of the highest quality Tuscan olive oil. It is produced in limited quantities on the rolling hills of Montalbano, in the enchanted Tuscany region, world-famous birthplace of the genius Leonardo da Vinci.
This finest extra virgin olive oil is the most authentic expression of a territory that has always had a vocation for olive growing. Its production begins with the hand-picked olives obtained exclusively from Tuscan olive tree varieties, grown in the Montalbano Protected Geographical Indication area according to the stringent production standards of the Toscano IGP Consortium, which guarantee its authenticity, excellent organoleptic quality and safety. The olive oil is produced by the members of the Montalbano Cooperative, driven by their passion, experience and, most of all, their respect for the environment: from the proper care of the plant and the soil to the exclusively manual harvesting, thus maintaining the traditions of their fathers and grandfathers to preserve a unique territory in the heart of Tuscany.
